Frequently Asked Questions

#1 What is bike share?

A bicycle-sharing system, public bicycle system, or bike-share scheme, is a service in which bicycles are made available for shared use to individuals on a very short term basis. Bike share schemes allow people to borrow a bike from point “A” and return it at point “B”. This allows each bike to serve several users per day.

GO SPOKES! is designed for short-term rental on paved roads or pathways around the Town of Pinedale and immediate area. Bikes must be rented from a designated station and returned to a designated station.

GO SPOKES! Is NOT designed to be a bike rental system where you rent a bike for personal use for the entire day, multi-day, or season. A bike rental system is better suited for a private business. Hopefully GO SPOKES! will demonstrate the demand for bike rentals, and eventually a local business may offer mountain and comfort bike rentals for daily and multi-day rentals.

#2 How do I rent a bike?

You must have a smart phone and credit card. Download the MOVATIC app to your   smart phone, create an account, enter your credit card number and follow the prompts. Location Services and Bluetooth must be turned on, on your phone for this system to work.

#3 Where can I rent a bike?

Stations are currently installed at the Sublette County Visitor’s Center, Hampton Inn and Suites, Wind River Brewing Co. , Lakeside Lodge and Pinedale Aquatic Center. You may want to check the app first for bike availability at each station, bikes may not be available at all stations.

#4 Can I rent multiple bikes under one account?

Yes, you can rent up to 3 bikes under 1 account.

#5 How much does it cost?

$1.50 per 15 minutes, or $6 an hour.

#6 What if I get a flat-tire?

If there is something wrong with the bike please return it to the nearest station, and select “report a problem” in the app. We will get the bike repaired.

#7 Are there helmets available?

We currently don’t provide helmets, you must provide your own. Helmets can be purchased at A to Z Hardware or Geared Up.

#8 I can’t get the bike to lock in and end rental?

To rent and return the bike, you must be standing at the rack, Bluetooth only has a range of 10-15 feet. If you are out of range it will not work. It is a little touchy returning them you may have to try a couple times. Please make sure to select the correct station, where you are returning the bike, otherwise other users will be blocked from using it.

#9 Does the app track my ride?

No the app only tracks rentals and returns from the racks. It does not trace where you go.

#10 I received a free pass how do I redeem it?

Currently the app does not have a feature to enter a promo code. Until they create that feature, you basically sign-up, rent the bike, then we will give you a refund. Please go to report a problem in the app, and let us know you received a free pass, and what name is on the pass, and we will refund you. Please allow up to 1 week for the refund to be processed.
